What gets deleted
When you delete your account we permanently remove the following from our servers:
Your profile (display name, username, email, bio, avatar image)
Your password hash and all authentication tokens
Every sing you have logged (song, venue, rating, note)
All comments, likes, and follows you have created
All badges you have earned
Notifications addressed to you
Your song requests and the notes on them
Crowd ratings and notes you gave or received
Your messages (both sides of every chat you were in) and your message settings
Saved keys, cue notes, wishlists, hidden songs and venues, and follow requests
If you are a KJ: your songbooks, your name on your nights and on venue recaps
Your name on any reports you have filed
What is kept (and why)
Reports about you: if someone reported a message you sent, the reported message and the messages saved with it are kept until 90 days after the report is resolved, so our team can finish the review.
Anonymized aggregates: venue popularity counts and song play counts are kept in a form that cannot be tied back to you.
Server logs: standard operational logs (IP address, request paths) are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged.
Backups: encrypted database backups are rotated on a 30-day cycle. Your data is removed from production immediately and falls out of backups within 30 days.
