How to permanently delete your MicDrop account and all associated data.
How to request account deletion
You can delete your MicDrop account directly from the app — no email or web form required:
Open the MicDrop app and sign in.
Tap your profile avatar (top-right of the Feed) to open Profile.
Tap the gear / Settings icon.
Scroll to Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm and tap Delete my account.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. There is no grace period.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account we permanently remove the following from our servers:
Your profile (display name, username, email, bio, avatar image)
Your password hash and all authentication tokens
Every sing you have logged (song, venue, rating, note)
All comments, likes, and follows you have created
All badges you have earned
Notifications addressed to you
Any reports you have filed
What is kept (and why)
Anonymized aggregates: venue popularity counts and song play counts are kept in a form that cannot be tied back to you.
Server logs: standard operational logs (IP address, request paths) are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged.
Backups: encrypted database backups are rotated on a 30-day cycle. Your data is removed from production immediately and falls out of backups within 30 days.
Can't access the app?
If you cannot sign in (lost device, forgotten password, etc.), email
micdrophq@gmail.com from the email address on your account
and we will delete it on your behalf within 7 business days.
